Q: What is the difference between a Psychiatrist and a Psychologist?

A: This is a common question that many people ask. The main difference is that Psychologists are trained to treat conditions through differing forms of talk therapy. The therapy is utilized by creating a safe space where the person can process their thoughts and feelings without the consequences of the outside world. On the other hand, Psychiatrists are trained in the medical aspect of treating psychopathology and often prescribe medication as the primary form of treatment.
